Travel from Launceston to UNESCO World Heritage listed Cradle Mountain National Park. Visit Dove Lake, a glacial lake located in a spectacular setting beneath the craggy peaks of Cradle Mountain will sure be one of the highlights of your day. The jagged contours of Cradle Mountain characterise the wild landscape, while ancient rainforest and alpine heathlands, buttongrass and stands of colourful deciduous beech provide a range of environments to explore.

COLONIAL HERITAGE TOUR (ex Launceston)
Today embark on a heritage journey visiting Brickendon and Woolmers Estate. Brickendon is a historic working farm continuously owned and managed by the Archer family for almost two centuries, while the adjacent Woolmer Estate is a time capsule of early nineteenth-century life, home to the National Rose Garden and beautiful in summer. Wander along the convict farm trail between the two properties to see what life in the 1890s was like for the convicts placed here. Travel through Evandale and visit the gracious Clarendon Homestead, and discover Ross founded in 1812 with its beautiful Georgian styled village.

TROWUNNA WILDLIFE PARK & MARAKOOPA CAVES (ex Launceston)
Today enjoy a scenic drive through the rich farmlands and pastures to the Trowunna Wildlife Park to see Tasmanian Devils, wombats, wallabies, and other marsupials. After lunch, continue to Karst National Park, for a tour of Marakoopa Cave. Explore this miraculous underground world with its glow worms, large caverns, rim pools, and underground streams before returning to Launceston.

STANLEY (ex Burnie)
Enjoy a scenic drive along Tasmania’s north coast to the seaside town of Stanley. Walk the streets of the charming fishing village and visit the historic Highfield House. Towards the sea extends the iconic rocky outcrop known locally as ‘The Nut’. This is the plug of an extinct volcano that you can explore on foot or in a chairlift. From the top, there are sweeping views over Bass Strait.

Today head to Cape Grim and enjoy a tour of Woolnorth Wind Farm, Woolnorth Homestead and Cape Grim. Enjoy an up-close visit to the cliff top towers of the Woolnorth Wind Farm and information center.
