1 Day Hobart’s Female History (Private Tour)

Thank you for arranging the itinerary for us. We enjoyed it immensely, feeling, in the end, it really was a taster for many more trips in the future. The devil experience was a real highlight … our son really enjoyed it … as was lunch at Bangor vineyard and the Marakoopa cave tour! And of course amazing food, wine and gin along the way.

We wanted a private tour to take advantage of our short visit to Tasmania and it was a very good decision. Richard was the most fantastic guide, he knew so much history and was just the best company the whole day.

Rob was very knowledgeable and adaptable. He also took pains to orient me to Hobart, so I could navigate the rest of my trip. Above and beyond!

We’ve had such an amazing trip here in Tasmania. Bill, our guide, filled us in on the history and lore of Port Arthur, Richmond, Hobart and Freycinet. My son LOVED the visit to the penal colony, and the dramatic stories of the people who were held there. Bill is so knowledgeable about the food and culture as well. And even when it looked like the weather might hamper our plans, he adjusted the route so we could enjoy Tasmania as much in the rain as in the sunshine.

He showed us that this beautiful island is rich in history, culture, amazing food and coffee, stunning views, and amazing wildlife. We leave here totally in love with Tasmania!!

My mother and I had the most fabulous tour today of Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, where we saw Tasmanian Devis, Wombats, Quolls, Kangaroos and a variety of birds, including Fred the cockatoo who is 108 years old! We then had a delicious lunch  as we continued through the Derwent Valley traveling to Mount Field National Park where the trees and ferns towered over us as we hiked to Russell Falls and Horseshoe Falls. Our fabulous guide, Elise, pointed out specific fauna that we would not want to miss and made sure that every aspect of the day went beautifully, even adding a quick tour of Hobart since she knew that we would only be in Tasmania briefly. She ensured that our day was memorable and special, including recommending the perfect place for us to have dinner and ensuring we could get a reservation on a very busy night. Highest praise for Premier Travel Tasmania.

The four of us thoroughly enjoyed our tour. Patrick was on time or early every day. He was knowledgeable and informative. We found that he was flexible and patient. We were really pleased with the itinerary and felt we received a good overview of Tasmania.

We spent an absolutely amazing day with Elise showing us some of the stunning nature and wildlife that Tasmania has to offer. She helped make our honeymoon impossible to forget and we couldn’t have been happier.

Not only was she knowledgeable about literally everything we were curious about, but her passion about her home was infectious. She took time to point out and explain unique plants and animals in the national park and even managed to sneak us a peek of a baby wombat in the Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary (a must see if you want to get very up close and personal with Kangaroos and learn about the amazing rehabilitation work they provide).

The tour by and far exceeded our expectations and we’d recommend this to anyone interested in learning and seeing more of this beautiful territory.

Horacio was very knowledgeable, friendly and eager to share with us the history of Hobart and Tasmania. We enjoyed his company very much. He was an avid story teller and very personable. We felt extremely comfortable in his hands and hope to see him again on our return some day.
