Wilderness, Wildlife & Scenery
Travel up the scenic East coast to the seaside village of Triabunna. Embark on the ferry, crossing the Mercury Passage to Maria Island National Park. Only a short cruise, but a world away. Enjoy a day of peaceful walking amongst historic ruins, along sweeping bays, rugged fossil cliffs and imposing mountains. Watch for the island’s resident wombats, Cape Barron geese and kangaroos! Return to Hobart later in the afternoon.
As an optional and very special experience you may choose to return to Hobart by scenic flight. (Pre-booking essential)
Departure days are Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from October to April.
