Maria Island is an animal heaven with an abundance of wildlife and history. Meet the Island’s resident Wombats, Forester kangaroos, Cape Barren geese and wallabies freely roaming around. Enjoy the opportunity to take your pictures of the Painted Cliffs and stunning white sandy beaches all in a single day.

Only a short cruise, but a world away. Enjoy a day of peaceful walking amongst historic ruins, along sweeping bays, rugged fossil cliffs and imposing mountains. Watch for the Island’s resident wombats, Cape Barron geese and kangaroos.

Meet your local tour guide between 7.30 and 7.45 am at your accommodation. Travel up the scenic East Coast to the seaside village of Triabunna. Embark on the ferry, crossing the Mercury Passage to Maria Island National Park. Enjoy a day of peaceful walking amongst historic ruins, sweeping bays, rugged fossil cliffs and imposing mountains. Watch for the Island’s resident wombats, Cape Barron geese and kangaroos! Return to Hobart by 5 pm.
