Maria Island is an animal heaven with an abundance of wildlife and history. Meet the Island’s resident Wombats, Forester Kangaroos, Cape Barren Geese and Wallabies freely roaming around. Enjoy the opportunity to take your pictures of the Painted Cliffs and stunning white sandy beaches all in a single day.

Meet your local guide between 7.30 am and 7.45 am at your accommodation, then set off along Tasmania’s stunning East Coast to the charming seaside village of Triabunna. From here, embark the Spirit of Maria ferry and glide across the Mercury Passage to the breathtaking Maria Island National Park.  Immerse yourself in a day of serene exploration, wandering amongst fascinating historic ruins, pristine beaches, dramatic fossil-strewn cliffs, and towering mountains. Keep an eye out for the island’s iconic wildlife, including Wombats, Cape Barron Geese, and Forester Kangaroos, as they roam freely in their natural paradise.  After a day of discovery, return to Hobart by 5.00 pm, carrying memories of Tasmania’s wild beauty and rich heritage.
