On this private tour you will experience Tasmania’s spectacular nature up close. You drive through impressive landscapes, visit the most beautiful national parks and go in search of the many different local animals. Our focus is on our national animal, the Tasmanian devil, also affectionately known as the ‘Tassie Devil’. This very endangered species delights with its behaviour and special sounds. Learn why this animal is called ‘devil’ and find out lots of other interesting information about our flora and fauna. Your experienced tour guide will take you deep into the Tasmanian nature and creates a special experience.

Travel in the footsteps of the Tasmanian Devil and discover the great wilderness of the island, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Tasmanian wilderness forms one of the vast expanses of temperate rainforests in the world. Covering more than 1’000’000 hectares, a third of the island is rated as National Park and is mostly not accessible. Therefore, the island is home to an abundance of native wildlife. This includes kangaroos, wombats, quolls, platypus, endemic bird species and of course the Tasmanian devil, our unique carnivorous marsupial. On this trip, your local guide will get you in touch with Tasmania’s iconic flora and fauna. With a little bit of luck, you may have the opportunity to see the Tasmanian devils or quolls in the wild.  Other endemic wildlife, such as wombats, wallabies and pademelons roaming in their natural habitat, are common sightings. Our wildlife-interested guests are invited to create memories and get close to our rare and endemic animal species. As part of the Australian Wildlife Journeys program, this tour is highly rated amongst photographers and wildlife enthusiasts.
