The tour begins at 9.30 am when you meet your private guide at your accommodation. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Tamar Valley wine region, Tasmania’s oldest wine-growing area. The Tamar River, Australia’s longest tidal navigable river, is the heart of this wine district. From the Valley to Pipers River in the north, through to Launceston and Relbia to the south, there are more than 32 vineyards within driving distance of each other. With its pure soil and air, the area produces premium cool-climate wines such as Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and sparkling wines. Cellar door tastings are a specialty of the Tamar Valley. Expect to be pampered, surprised and delighted by your visit to the Valley. Your guide will return you to your accommodation by 5.30 pm.
