Day 3

TASMANIA GOLF CLUB – COAL RIVER VALLEY

This morning, we will play a 9-hole round at the spectacular Tasmanian Golf Club in Midway Point. Your tour guide will transfer you to the T-point and arrange all the gear, golf clubs and buggies for you. The course could best be described as a typical Australian golf course set on a spectacular headland that exposes the golf course to the best and worst of the elements.  The result is a challenging, undulating course characterised by well-bunkered, breaking greens that reward well-thought-out approach shots. After completing your round, visit the historic town of Richmond, with its well-preserved architecture and the oldest convict-built sandstone bridge in Australia, followed by 1 or 2 wine-and-cheese tastings en route.

Accommodation: IBIS Styles, Hobart, Deluxe room (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 4

HOBART – RATHO FARM – HIGHLANDS – LAUNCESTON

Today, we give you a break from putting and walking the greens and travel to Bothwell, the home of Tasmania’s oldest Golf Course and Museum. Enjoy a morning tea en route before we continue the journey along the scenic Great Lakes highway towards Deloraine, where lunch will be arranged. In the afternoon, visit the scenic Cataract Gorge, where the South Esk River forces its way through sheer rocky cliffs, before you arrive at your accommodation for tonight.

Accommodation: Country Club Tasmania, Deluxe room (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 5

COUNTRY CLUB TASMANIA – BARNBOUGLE

Country Club’s nine and 18-hole championship golf course is recognised as one of Tasmania’s finest original links. Country Club Tasmania boasts an international standard 18-hole golf course in Launceston, originally designed and built as part of the property in 1982 by world-famous golfers and course designers Mike Wolveridge and Peter Thomson. A typical Thomson/Wolveridge design includes large challenging fairways, water hazards and fast greens, with a mixture of links and parkland styling. The 18-hole course has grown to be one of the best golf courses in Tasmania and is meticulously maintained by our team of greenkeepers. After lunch, travel through the picturesque wine region of the Tamar Valley before you arrive at Tasmania’s rugged north -coast.

Accommodation: Barnbougle Golf Resort Bridport, Double Queen Suite (or similar)

Meals: Breakfast and Lunch

Day 6

THE DUNES AT BARNBOUGLE

Barnbougle has a reputation for minimalist course design and a philosophy that traditional, strategic golf is the most rewarding. The elder of the two courses, The Dunes, is a spectacular example of traditional Link golf. Why not take a course tour to become acquainted with this beautiful landscape? There are practice facilities to get you warmed up, and if you want to get serious, perfect your driving, putting and chipping skills under one of our teaching professionals. The stunning Dunes Clubhouse sits overlooking Barnbougle’s pristine beach – where you can wind down between and after games with a refreshing drink and a hearty meal.

Day 7

LOST FARM BARNBOUGLE – LAUNCESTON DEPARTURE

The second course at the Barnbougle Golf Links is no less spectacular. Despite Lost Farm’s proximity to The Dunes, it is remarkably different, featuring 20 holes that wind along the coast and through the coastal dunes. Enjoy a round of the scenic 20-hole golf course, improve your skills and appreciate the stunning scenery of this spectacular golf course right on the northern coastline of Tasmania before your guide takes you back to Launceston, where this tour ends at approximately 4 pm.
